Gaming teaches me about interactive design, user engagement, and intuitive navigation, while woodworking reinforces the importance of precision, structure, and craftsmanship. One of the biggest challenges was redesigning the Rumble Advertising Center while ensuring a smooth transition for existing users. Balancing major improvements with user familiarity required a careful approach. By conducting extensive user testing and iterating based on feedback, we managed to create a more intuitive and efficient platform without alienating long-time users. A common misconception is that UX/UI design is just about making things “look nice.” When people ask what I do, instead of saying UX/UI design, I sometimes joke that I “draw things on a computer.” In reality, UX/UI design is about problem-solving—understanding user needs, improving usability, and ensuring that interfaces are intuitive and efficient. A good design isn’t just visually appealing; it’s functional, accessible, and enhances the overall user experience.

Over the past three years, my role as a manager has evolved significantly. I have taken on more strategic responsibilities, ensuring the team remains motivated, focused, and aligned with company goals. Managing through challenges, such as adapting to changing platform requirements and market trends, has strengthened my ability to lead effectively.

I have also developed new skills, including advanced team management techniques, conflict resolution, and data-driven decision-making, to improve performance during this time. Even though I hold a master’s degree in management, I have continued to enhance my expertise through professional training programs to refine my leadership approach.

Over the past decade, what has been the most defining moment of your career at Cosmic, and why does it stand out?

One of the most defining moments of my career at Cosmic was being invited to New York City when Rumble went public. As one of the first employees, being part of that milestone was an incredible honor and a testament to our company’s journey. It was a moment that truly highlighted how far we’ve come—from a small, dedicated team to a publicly traded company making waves in the industry.

That experience stood out because it wasn’t just about celebrating success; it was about seeing firsthand the impact of years of hard work, persistence, and belief in what we were building. Standing in NYC, surrounded by the team that helped make it happen, was surreal and inspiring.

Managing a team has taught me that everyone is different, and understanding what motivates each person is key to unlocking their full potential. Some thrive on challenges, others need reassurance, and some respond best to structured guidance. Adaptability is crucial. Over the past decade, I’ve seen Cosmic and Rumble evolve significantly from a growing platform into a major competitor in the online video space. The most exciting change has been seeing how Rumble positioned itself as a competitor to YouTube, offering more monetization options and greater freedom for content creators.

Protopia envisions a future not defined by unattainable ideals or fears of collapse but by steady, meaningful progress. Rather than aiming for perfection or fearing domination, Bielskyte suggests we focus on small, positive changes that allow humans and technology to evolve in collaboration. In this Protopian future, technology doesn’t seek to replace us; it strengthens our creativity, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence, building a future marked by resilience and adaptability.

Matthew Chavira, CEO of Prophets of AI, champions a similar vision of collaboration. His platform engages individuals and organizations in a dialogue on AI’s societal role, emphasizing ethical development and AI’s potential to support, rather than overshadow, human efforts. Chavira’s work aligns closely with Protopian ideals, positioning AI as a partner that enhances—rather than replaces—our distinctly human capacities. Developed soft skills enhance collaboration, create a positive work environment, and enable individuals to navigate workplace challenges easily. These skills are particularly important for team leaders as they serve as intermediaries between senior management and their teams, requiring strong communication and leadership skills to convey messages and inspire their teams effectively.

The interactive nature of our workshops has been a critical component in this year’s training sessions. Lidija explains the value of practical exercises and real-life scenarios:

Their active participation and engagement produced the desired results, reflected in their professional and personal development.
